About WRS

WRS was formed in 2001 to offer operations in maintenance, repair, modification and sales of lifting and handling equipment.

Created by the management team of Initial Metals Engineering, Andy Firth and Ian Altass brought together a group of companies to offer a complete range of services under the WRS brand.

By bringing together the combined skills, expertise and experience of Initial Metals Engineering, Northfield Engineering, East Coast Fluid Power Ltd, Andy Firth and Ian Altass have created a company uniquely placed to offer a full range of sales and services to the fork lift, container, terminal, port and associated equipment industries.

The first seven years saw a consolidation of operations culminating in 2012 with the completion of a new machine shop and mechanical workshops. WRS now has 14,000 square feet of workshop including a fully equipped machine shop, for hydraulic repairs, forklift refurbishment and fabrication and welding along with two acres of storage yard allowing the expansion of equipment sales, enabling WRS to supply equipment both standard or adapted to any individual specification to both the trade and end users.

Located in an ideal position close to Hull docks, anything from 2 ton forklifts through to 200 ton cranes and every type of handling equipment in between can be supplied, modified, serviced and repaired.
